| LOL yep that sounds like my dad. Poor mum says she can't get a minutes peace, not even in the shower. Isn't it funny how they always want to do something just when we start doing it. LOL |

| Yar well I cant say its invited... as only a man can do he just wanders in and does his own thing be it jump in the shower and take it over or sit on the throne and do some paper work. No privacy in this house |

| Yeah i'm really concerned about the surgery aspect too...the money side of it. I'm definitely going to need a tummy tuck too but i'll never be able to afford it in a million years. I've been thinking about the thailand thing. I know everyone says that's a bad idea...what if something goes wrong etc.. etc.. but if i do manage to loose the weight i think i'll be as equally disgusted in myself as a saggy cow as i was as a fat cow. Wow Zip, i totally envy your confidence at being able to share a shower with your man. There's not a snowballs chance in hell i'd let mine see me naked with lights on...eeeek!!!! He can't understand this of course and thinks i'm being silly (he only says that cause he hasn't actually seen me naked! lol) God its all so depressing thinking about the aftermath of weightloss...wish i could win the lottery so i could get it all fixed. lol |

| Westy I totally support your quest...good on ya... sadly I am once bitten twice shy so am a bit jaded with the process.
I think personally we should do what it takes to find our body nirvana... if its a ripping good tummy do over than go for it... if its settling back and grabbing a handfull of belly skin and using it for a stress ball ...also ok.
At the end of the day we started this process to feel "normal" that "normal" is relevant to the person standing in their skin... I am yet to find that spot... I find it then lose it like a greased up eel.... perhaps in my whacked up world the flip around is normal |

| zactly... and to be truthful I am the only one it bothers... the husband is perfectly happy with the job he has now so if I do this I am doing it for sheer vanity.
I am 48 next march and I ask myself when do you stop...like do I really want to be the skinniest one in the nursing home.... its not like I will be sporting the bikini or anything....but then I look in the mirror and think I would be happier if it were fixed....but then would I or would I simply find something else to fixate on like wrinkles or boobs.
7 grand is a bloody awesom holiday or an aweful lot of 50 cent soft serve cones ( my lil decadance)...
I thought I was on a winner when I got a referal to a general surgeon who did tummy tucks and bulk billed... bad move... cut the skin off ...no muscle repair and wouldnt go up near the port so tummy is flat below belly button and preggers looking above it... weird weird look I tell ya... however it makes for wonderful and funny ha ha's in the bathroom when hubby shares the space when Im in the shower...he thinks its hill-hairy-arse at times...bastard!
He is just lucky I am more twisted and demented than he is so I share the mirth he makes at my alien gut... |

| Hey Zippy and Tara
I agree that everything is so expensive, but I have been saving my dollars for a few years, not far away. But have ordered a suck me in Slim Lift.
I have rung heaps of PS Surgeons and found that Brissy was the cheapest for Surgery, unfortunately I wanted to use PS Surgeon here on the Goldie no such luck, DOUBLE the price. So still looking.

| I hear ya Zip, I've been putting 50 bucks a week away in my "Surgery" account but I need to move in the next month or two so everytime it adds up to a couple hundred bucks I funnel it off to a more needy cause.
Then there's the whole 42, single (& not looking) so I kinda reckon the sucky-innie-suit will have to suffice for a bit longer. So as long as I avoid mirrors whilst undressed (SHUDDER) I'm pretty much ok (TODAY!) |

| yar its bleeding expensive...and I admit that as much as I want my tummy redon ( first one was free on medicare but an absolute shitful job....got what I paid for) I dont know if I can justify the 7 to 10 grand at my age. |

| Gosh isn't it funny how we all bounce back in different spots.
I think my legs are the worst and most urgent on my list of to do's.
But as I will NEVER have any money to do it ( or so it feels) I will keep on dreaming.

| I have heard that it is a real basket of an op... you need a really good surgeon to get a good finish.
I found that my legs were a bit flabby but have now tightened up and are normal... the tummy not so..or the boobs though me thinks 3 kids using them as dummies did most of the damage. |
